My Admiration of Motherhood

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a mom.

Growing up, I always pictured myself becoming a stay-at-home mom, raising my children and dedicating my life to my family. For the longest time, I thought my passion for motherhood meant that was exactly what I was meant to do.

But as I've gotten older, I've started to realize that maybe this passion was placed on my heart for more reasons than I originally thought.

When I was 12, I took the American Red Cross babysitting certification course as soon as I was old enough. I couldn't wait to start working with kids. What started as babysitting eventually grew into years of childcare experience and a career as a nanny, something I still do alongside my photography business.

I've always loved being someone families can depend on. Someone who can help make a working mom's day a little easier, care for her children, and be part of the support system that every family deserves.

And over the years, that experience has only deepened my appreciation for everything that goes into motherhood. The sacrifices, the exhaustion, the joy, the mental load, and the love behind it all.

Finding My Purpose Through Family Photography

When I started growing my photography business, I found myself naturally drawn to maternity, newborn, and family photography.

And honestly, it makes so much sense now.

I've spent so much of my life caring for children, supporting parents, and appreciating the beauty of family life. Now, as a Lehigh Valley newborn and family photographer, I get to capture those same things for families to look back on.

It's never been just about taking pretty pictures.

It's about the mom who spent nine months growing a baby finally holding that little life in her arms. The tiny hands reaching for mom, the toddler who won't sit still, and the ordinary moments that don't seem all that extraordinary until years later.

I want moms to have pictures of themselves with their babies, instead of always being the ones behind the camera. I want families to remember what their home looked like when their children were little, the way their babies fit in their arms, and all the little details that time has a way of making us forget.

I want families to remember not just what that season of life looked like, but what it felt like.

That's why I love offering in-home newborn and family photography throughout the Lehigh Valley. I get to document families in the places where their everyday memories are actually being made.

Maybe This Was My Purpose All Along

I'm not a mom yet, and I know there's so much about motherhood I haven't experienced firsthand. But I've always had an incredible amount of love and respect for the women who have.

For years, I thought my desire to become a mom meant I was meant to dedicate my life to raising children of my own.

And maybe one day I will.

But maybe that same passion was also placed on my heart so I could spend my life supporting other moms, caring for their children, and preserving the moments that mean the most to their families.

Maybe I wasn't just meant to experience motherhood one day. Maybe I was also meant to spend my life supporting it, celebrating it, and helping families remember it.

And I can't think of a more meaningful reason to do what I do.
